Description
Service and diagnostic firmware for 61 models of electric companion animal, kept by a veterinary hospital’s repair department.
The set covers cats, dogs, horses, a goat and an owl, along with the diagnostic programs the technicians used to tell a failing animal from a merely unhappy one.
Provenance
Donated by the Van Ness Pet Hospital when it closed its repair department. The firmware was read from the department’s reference boards, along with one toad the technicians had kept on a shelf as a curiosity.
Catalogued by a Lazarus archivist who once worked in the same department.
