The online catalog is free to download and reuse. Catalog metadata is dedicated to the public domain under CC0; the archived works themselves keep their own rights.

Both files are rebuilt whenever records are re-catalogued, so they grow week by week until all 41,206 records are back.
CSV columns
- catalog_number
- Catalog number, such as LZ-00001.
- title, creator
- As recorded in the catalog.
- year, end_year
- When the work was made, or the span it covers. Empty if undated.
- kind
- The kind of material, such as Game or Research data.
- platform
- The machine or system the work was made for.
- carrier, carriers
- The medium it was recovered from, and how many there were.
- size_bytes
- The size of the recovered image, in bytes.
- restored, recatalogued
- When the restoration was finished, and when the record was last revised (yyyy-mm-dd).
- fidelity
- One of bit-exact, complete, reconstructed, partial, fragmentary.
- rights, sealed_until
- One of public-domain, open-license, released, licensed, orphan, sealed, and the year a sealed record opens.
- collection, partner_archive
- Where the record belongs, and the partner that holds a copy, if any.
- sha256, fixity_verified
- The SHA-256 checksum of the recovered image, and when Vigil last confirmed it.
- emulation_profile, migrated_to
- How the work is made usable today.
- summary
- A plain-language description of the work.
